New Satellite Location for Nichols Center

In partnership with the Douglas County Community Services Board, Nichols Center is celebrating the opening of our first satellite location in the Teen Innovation Center in Lithia Springs. This is the first center to the a county wide program in response to the mental health crisis for our young adults and youth. Raye Lightford, CEO of the Douglas County Community Services Board has carefully selected the partnerships that will help provide meaningful support for the families in the community. Nichols Center is one of these contracted organizations to support youth mental health through holistic and therapeutic services. We will also be maintaining two onsite twenty foot green houses for teaching youth to grow their own foods and nurture plants while focusing on their own mental health.

Our mission in these next few months, will be to expand our youth mentorship and peer mental health support groups. We will be to welcoming new volunteers and internship opportunities to help make this vision possible. We are incredibly excited to be included in this opportunity and cannot wait to welcome you to the Teen Innovation Center. Coming Jan. 2023!
