Turn the Tide on Suicide Golf Tournament

The 4th Annual Nichols Center Golf Tournament shines a spotlight on the urgent crisis of suicide among first responders. National research shows that firefighters and law enforcement officers are more likely to die by suicide than in the line of duty, and EMS professionals are about 1.4 times more likely to die by suicide than the general public. Many firefighters and EMS providers report serious suicidal thoughts and attempts over the course of their careers, reflecting the heavy emotional toll of constant exposure to trauma. This event raises critical funds so first responders, 911, and law enforcement personnel can access free suicide prevention trainings, crisis stress debriefings, and therapeutic support—ensuring those who protect our communities receive life‑saving care themselves.
